Cape May Proposal - Joe and Brieana

I am always so impressed when I get an inquiry about shooting a proposal. And this time, Joe really thought of everything. He had a surprise date planned for his girlfriend, Brieana, He even called her manager and got her out of work for the day to truly surprise her. He coordinated a manicure with her friend leading up to the day of the proposal. He arranged for a convertible to drive that day. He even bought her a new dress and planned a picnic on the beach. After all of these arrangements, Brie STILL did not suspect that a proposal was coming. I think that speaks volumes about what kind of guy Joe is on a regular Tuesday or any other given day. If this wasn’t out of the ordinary enough to tip her off to something then, boys take a page out of Joe’s book and step up your game!

While surprise shoots always give me a touch of anxiety, proposals are so fun to witness and photograph and I feel honored to be a part of them. Hats off to anyone getting ready to pop the question and having the foresight to book a photographer. Joe and Brieana, I am so glad you will have the images to keep for a lifetime and share with your children one day.

Oh, how I would treasure images from that fateful Christmas morning when I got the gift of a lifetime, my own engagement ring. Freezing these moments in time for others and having the ability to keep them forever never ceases to amaze me. I never underestimate the power of photography. The importance of these images only appreciates with time.
