This was one of my favorites.  Everything was perfect from the setting to the light to the weather.  The wedding took place at the Bourne Mansion in Oakdale, NY and although the forecast was anticipating rain in the week leading up to the wedding, the day was bright and beautiful.  I loved the rich purple Joanie chose for the bridesmaids and she looked exceptional in her gown.  It was a thrill to photograph this wedding and I am thankful for the opportunity to work with another wonderful couple.

At one point or another I think every girl dreams about the idea of getting married in her backyard.  Whether or not it is realistic, there is something so romantic and meaningful about adding a marriage to your family tree at the very home where you grew up.  I guess it's a full circle kind of moment.  Sarah was lucky enough to do it.  This was a spectacular day.  

Thanks to this handsome couple, I discovered the adorable Palmer Square in Princeton, NJ.  I had never shot in Princeton before and I wasn't exactly sure what I would find when I got there.  It was the perfect mix of main street, campus, shopping and park-like atmosphere.  I love the bright colors Jennifer chose for the photos.  I always encourage my couples to be bold and dare to wear something bright.  Look how well color photographs!  I can't wait for November, my favorite season is hot on our heels :)

I love weddings in DUMBO.  I've shot at Bubby's several times and I love the variety the neighborhood offers for outdoor shooting locations.  Both the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges are just outside the door, creating a spectacular view when the sun goes down. 

The end of July took me to Philadelphia for Nancy and Austin's wedding.  They chose several locations around the city for formals and we basically flew through them to get a little taste of everything Philly.  The reception was held at the Sheraton Society Hill and the ballroom looked gorgeous with Nancy's colors.  Everything turned out beautifully and I was happy to be a part of such a wonderful wedding.  Thanks to Georgi for second shooting!
