Christine and Bryan are getting married in PA but they live in NYC. I was so glad they wanted to shoot in DUMBO, one of my favorite spots. We took advantage of the new Brooklyn Bridge Park which has a stunning view of Manhattan. Both Bryan and Christine are super laid back and easygoing. They make each other laugh...a lot. It was refreshing to witness their sweet relationship and how much fun they have together.
I've been to downtown Bethlehem twice in one week for engagement shoots and both couples have been great and SO easy to shoot. It really makes working a treat when I have such wonderful clients. Looking forward to this wedding in July!
I met Jenny and Adrian only a few months ago and their wedding is in just a few weeks! There is something about everything happening quickly (on my end) that I love. It seems even more exciting to squeeze it all in, getting the engagement session done just in time before the couple becomes newlyweds. We shot this session in downtown Bethlehem and I really enjoyed it. It is always fun to discover new things and new backdrops in places I have been before.
Here are some of my favorites. Weren't they easy subjects?
It's a great feeling to be "re-employed". I tend to have the first 2 months of each year off which, don't get me wrong, is fantastic. But I always feel a little unproductive by the time February rolls around and this year is no different. Even with all my wedding planning this year, I still had the feeling that I should be shooting more. It was an absolute pleasure to have some shoots this February and now that it's March 1, I figure I should post them! Here is 1 of 2 : Carolyn and Erik's engagement session.
I've known Carolyn and Erik for several months so I knew their engagement session would be relaxed and fun. I had no idea that Carolyn had some creative props in store! Those pictures will be excluded since she wants to use them for a save-the-date but trust that they were pretty clever and took more time to make than any props I've seen previously :)
We trekked around Williamsburg and found some great spots despite the sub-zero temperatures (at least that's what it felt like!). It was SO windy and we were all freezing but hopefully that doesn't show in the photos! These are some of my favorites.
We had such a great time on Sunday wandering around Lehigh's campus where Ronnie completed his undergrad. Julianne is actually a part of my family (my mother's cousin's daughter...so not sure what that makes her to me...basically just family I guess but I'll take it). It always adds an extra element to any kind of shoot when I already have a relationship with the couple. We had the most beautiful weather after a rainy Saturday and the fall colors were still so vivid this late in the month. I have to thank them for their thoughtfulness too. They took me for PUMPKIN GELATO at Dave's Deli after the shoot. I can't tell you how delicious it was and I had been waiting for just the right moment for it since October 1st. Thanks guys, I can't wait for your wedding next spring! I'm looking forward to all of the special and cultural details:)
