Julianne and Ronnie

Julianne and Ronnie were married at Riverview Country Club nearly a month ago!  I am trying to catch up on my blogging and I don't want to leave anyone out so I'm going back to the start.  I have 3 weddings and one engagement to blog before my wedding next weekend so hopefully, the next week will be filled with a flurry of posts.  Fingers crossed.

Julianne is family so naturally, I was super excited for her wedding.  It's always fun knowing the bride and groom and even some of the wedding party.  It makes the day go by so fast when I feel like I'm just hanging around with friends and taking pictures.  Ronnie is from the Philippines and his grandmother graciously made ALL of the clothing worn by the wedding party.  By wedding party I mean the bride, groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents of both bride and groom, flower girls, sponsors, etc. etc. etc.  The most amazing part is that everything was sewn and created in the Philippines and nothing was tried on until just before the wedding!  I think it is amazing that she was able to pull it off and even more amazing how well everything fit given that she was working only with measurements taken by Julianne.  Everything came together wonderfully and it made the wedding so special to have such a personal touch on all of the clothing.

Speaking of the talented family Ronnie has, his other grandmother is an opera singer and sang beautifully during the ceremony.  When the ceremony was over I caught a shot of them in the back of the church once they were real newleyweds.  I always love following the bride and groom rather than shooting everyone leaving the church.  There always seems to be a special moment when everything sets in and both people realize they are MARRIED!
I love how you can really see the detail in Ronnie's shirt in the last shot with the sun going down.  All of the men wore garments made of pineapple fibers (correct me if I'm wrong!).  From what I was told, the fibers eventually brown and then the shirt can't really be worn anymore.  Imagine if that's how wedding dresses worked, not that we would wear them again...but still!

Now for the party.  I think the pictures speak for themselves, people were having a GRAND time!  It was quite the dancing crowd from the oldest guest to the youngest.  Everyone had a fantastic time and some even made it to the end of the night :)  Note the little guy who did an absolutely amazing worm.  I wanted to ask him to do it over and over, he was so fun to watch.  I asked him how he learned how to dance like that to which he replied, "me and my friend self-teach".  Wow, I'm impressed.
