A Maryland wedding at home - Renee and Charlene
I will be the first to admit that when it comes to blogging, I am extremely delinquent in getting projects up in a timely manner, but I am working on it! I have so many gorgeous weddings and shoots to share that I haven't yet blogged and I am going to start at the beginning in an effort to catch up. Renee and Charlene had a beautiful ceremony at Renee's parents' house in Earleville, Maryland. The house overlooks the water on a beautiful property and it was simply the perfect place to tie the knot.
I loved the relaxed vibe of this wedding. Everything was beautiful and no detail was missed but the cowboy boots and the general attitude of everyone involved was simply to have fun and celebrate the love shared by these two women. The dock behind the house was such a wonderful spot for some beautiful portraits.
The ceremony was up on a hill under the most spectacular tree. Charlene and Renee both walked toward the ceremony from opposite sides of the house, escorted by their parents, and met at the head of the aisle. It was a really nice touch and so sweet to see Renee trying to get a peek at Charlene as soon as she had the opportunity while Charlene seemed to almost try to look away until finally reaching the head of the aisle. It may have just been my perception but I bet it says a lot about their personalities too. I remember thinking during their engagement session that they really complemented each other wonderfully.
When the ceremony ended, guests took a walk to another part of the property for cocktails and dancing under a tented reception. I loved the string lights Renee and Charlene hung for the cocktail hour. It was just getting to be dusk and the lights and fire pits really added to the ambience. The old blue Chevy was a pretty great prop, too!
Everyone capped off the night with toasts and dancing and overall it was a pretty spectacular day.
